PACEM Meals

On November 6th, PACEM started its 18th shelter season, which looks a little different due to the pandemic. Peace will not be hosting a shelter this year. PACEM will only host a men’s shelter, and all host sites will be in downtown congregations. The shelter will be smaller, hosting only about 20 men, and will move once a month. All the women and any medically-vulnerable men will still be housed at Premier Circle (the hotel site purchased for a future shelter and transitional and affordable housing), and meals are beginning to be provided there by a contracted company.

PACEM is asking its member congregations who are not hosting this year to provide meals for the congregational shelter sites. We can either drop off 25 meals in individual containers or we can serve our meal from the kitchen, arriving between 6 and 6:30pm. If you are interested in helping with meals for PACEM, or if you have questions, please email or speak to Sue Mueller.
