care ministry
The goal of the Care Ministry is to care for the people of Peace Lutheran Church by care calling (telephoning), care visiting (at hospitals, nursing homes, and homes), and helping with practical needs for people of our congregation (eg. meals, funeral receptions). Care ministers provide both short and long-term care. The approach of this care ministry is to be a "second line" ministry of care. The "first line" of care will be offered to people through the congregational groups in which they are involved. The primary focus of the care ministry will be to offer care to people of the congregation who are not currently involved in congregational groups or ministries. The Care Ministry also functions as small group which meets monthly.
